If you feel like discovering the water by boat, you can indulge yourself here. For example, rent an electric sloop for a nice experience on the water.

LAUWERSMEER

Engwierum is less than 5 minutes away from the beautiful nature reserve Lauwersmeer. Go on a discovery by bike or for a beautiful walk.

There are many beautiful cycle paths and cycle routes in this area. You can indulge yourself here and discover the area by bike. Renting bicycles? That is possible in Ferwert

THE FLORAL PARADYSKE

A wonderfully nice spot between Kollum and Buitenpost with a flower picking and tea garden. They are still there those casual and atmospheric places.

On Ameland and Schiermonnikoog

you can go on an expedition. Nice walking, you should have done this! Take the boat from Holwerd to Ameland or from Lauwersoog to Schiermonnikoog

FLAX ROUTE

Flax Route “Follow the Blue Line” tells the story of the cultivation of flax up to and including the end product of hand-printed linen. 

On the flax route there is attention to nature, art, craft and culture.  You can, for example, start with a visit to the flax museum in the adjacent picturesque Village of Ee.

SHOPPING ROUTE

This rural route has the most special shops in the  region included. These are studios and shops with a cozy atmosphere. atmosphere, where you will also receive personal help. 

Go out by car or bicycle and go  exploring along the North Frisian Shops Route. It is precisely these locations that make Friesland extra fun!

VEENKLOOSTERBOSS

Near Buitenpost lies a hidden gem in Friesland for many: the Veenkloosterbos. It's forest is located next to the 400 year old Fogelsangh State.

The winding paths, ponds, mystical bridges and of course the state make you feel like you are walking among the country houses of the Nobility in Great Britain.
